Bird on Insulator – Current Flow Simulation

⚡ Current Flow Through Copper Cable

The bird is standing directly on the insulated support while current flows through the copper conductor.

🟠 Copper Conductor

Copper is a good electrical conductor. When the circuit is energized, electric current flows through the copper conductor.

⚪ Insulator

The ceramic insulator provides electrical isolation between the energized conductor/support and the structure.

🐦 Why the Bird Is Safe

In this simplified demonstration, the bird is not providing a conductive path between the energized conductor and ground or another voltage. Therefore there is no significant voltage difference across its body.
